Clark Thomas has more than 15 years experience directly increasing the capacity
of not-for-profit organizations to provide health and educational services as well as
outreach to numerous communities.

Clark holds a Master of Public Administration degree in Nonprofit Management
from Georgia State University's Andrew Young School of Policy Studies and
received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications - Public Relations from
Berry College's Evans School of Humanities and Social Sciences.  He is also
recognized by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Credentialing
Services as a Certified Association Executive.  Clark is the immediate past chair of
ASAE's Meetings & Expositions Section Council.  He has served as a member of
the Board of Directors for the Georgia Society of Association Executives and
is the Treasurer of its Foundation.

Having entered the nonprofit arena as a student, Clark credits his selection as
a Corella and Bertram F. Bonner Scholar as the opportunity that defined his lifelong
commitment to the third sector.  With early service in community-based charities as well as for-profit market research
and fundraising consulting companies, he continued to grow as a professional in a number of employment opportunities.

Among others, Clark has held the positions of director for a global education and community empowerment charity, senior director for an association serving eye doctors and related paraprofessionals, and executive director for an association of mental health doctors as well as its foundation and political action committee.

His understanding and appreciation for the efforts of not-for-profits has led Clark to volunteer time and resources to many organizations, including the Alliance of the Friends of the DeKalb County Public Library, Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia, CHRIS Kids, Coosa Valley Red Cross, Creswell Convalescent Center, Friends of the Embry Hills Library, Metropolitan United Methodist Church Afterschool Program, Rome and Floyd County Habitat for Humanity, Rome/Floyd County Humane Society, Rome-Floyd County YMCA, Saint Mary's Catholic School, and Sara Hightower Regional Library.

With a broad base of knowledge and experience in a variety of organizations, Clark started Association Innovations to offer a unique blend of association management and consulting for nonprofits, both small and large.  His professional mission is to aid not-for-profits in the achievement of their missions, and, in keeping with the spirit of his personal dedication to the voluntary sector, Association Innovations provides pro-bono services or sliding-scale fee structures whenever possible for the most worthy of organizations with limited resources.

Please feel free to contact Clark with any questions regarding Association Innovations' customized not-for-profit solutions or special requests for organizational assistance.
