A Shared Desire to Promote Change

As public and private sector partnerships have become increasingly commonplace in the realm of for-profit business, the importance of our third sector has never been more important.  Also referred to as the nonprofit or voluntary sector, the impact these organizations have on society is in many ways immeasurable yet their effect is felt in each of our lives.

Associations enhance trades and professionals of all kinds, and through their efforts drive economies and promote social responsibility.  Charities allow citizens to invest in programs they feel are most vital to their communities.  Churches afford opportunities to worship and serve with like-minded people of faith.  Political action committees offer a conduit to influence government beyond the power of a vote.  Private and charter schools help prepare future leaders for success.  Without each of these types of nongovernmental organizations our world would be very different.

Given the positive and widescale influence of not-for-profits, the U.S. and other countries grant special tax-exempt status to their operations.  Association Innovations believes in the power third sector organizations weld and fully supports the provision of special opportunities by government to enhance their much needed ability to change the world.
